We train wherever the problem is actually happening. That usually means your home, your neighborhood, your regular walking route, the park you avoid, the vet's parking lot. If the behavior only happens in specific contexts, that's where we work. Real behavior change requires real environments.
My dog is aggressive. Is that something you handle?

Yes. Aggression is one of the core areas Steller Dog Training specializes in. Toward people, toward other dogs, resource guarding, fear-based aggression. I spent years working with the most extreme behavior cases at Phoenix Dog Training before opening SDT. If you're nervous about reaching out because of how serious the behavior is, reach out anyway. Do you use shock collars or prong collars?

No. Steller Dog Training is 100% force-free. No shock collars, no prong collars, no intimidation-based methods. Not because it's a rule but because the science is clear: aversive methods create compliance under duress but do not produce lasting behavioral change. We work on the emotional state driving the behavior, which is what actually makes results stick.
We've tried other trainers and nothing worked. Can you actually help?

Maybe. I'm not going to promise you something I haven't assessed. What I can tell you is that most failed training attempts fail for the same reason: they addressed the behavior without addressing what's driving it. If previous trainers focused on suppressing the behavior rather than changing the underlying emotional state, that's likely why results didn't stick.
