Steller Dog Training (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates stellerdogtraining.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a contact, booking, intake, or questionnaire form, call us, or send a text message, you may share your name, phone number, email address, home address or service area, and details about your dog and your training goals. We collect this information because we need it to respond to you and to provide training services.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics tools that collect standard technical information such as your device type, browser, pages visited, time on page, and general location (city level). We use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit, and we use the Meta Pixel, described below. We see this information as totals and trends, not as a record of what any individual person did.
Meta Pixel and Advertising
This website uses the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). When you visit, the pixel uses cookies and similar technology to record which pages you view and whether you reach our thank-you page after sending us a form. Meta receives that activity along with technical information such as your IP address, browser, and device, and may connect it to a Facebook or Instagram account you are logged into.
We use this to understand which of our posts and ads bring people to our site and lead to consultation requests, and we may use it to show our ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited the site. We do not send the contents of our forms (your name, phone number, email address, or message) to Meta.
Meta’s use of this information is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy. You can control the ads you see from Meta in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info, and block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics helps us see how visitors use our site, such as which pages are read most. Google’s use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiries by phone, text, or email; to schedule and deliver training services; to maintain client records and training progress notes; to send you information you have asked for; and to improve our website and services. If you text us, we will text you back. We do not enroll you in automated marketing text campaigns without your consent, and you can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP.
What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade our client list. We do not share your information with third parties except the service providers that make our business run (for example: website hosting through Hostinger, form processing through Web3Forms and Jotform, analytics through Google, advertising measurement through Meta, and scheduling and payment tools), and only to the extent needed for them to do their jobs, or where the law requires it.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies for basic functionality, analytics (Google Analytics), and advertising measurement (the Meta Pixel). You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. The site will still work with cookies disabled, though some features may be limited.
Data Retention
We keep client records for as long as needed to provide services and meet legal, tax, and insurance obligations. If you would like the information we hold about you corrected or deleted, contact us using the details below and we will honor the request unless we are legally required to keep it.
Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, call, text, or email us. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
